Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, as well as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. When she moved into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Choir for their permission to play the traditional Latin American song.
